When, on the Tamsweg market square right in front of the Gambswirt, the big Christmas tree is lit up brightly and guests are invited to experience “Advent Magic” in the Castle Park, you know that Christmas is drawing ever closer. A stroll in the evening hours is combined with mulled wine and roasted chestnuts at the Christmas market, where stands also sell handmade regional arts & crafts. An absolute must: a visit to the exhibition of Nativity scenes, where the hand-crafted scenes and figures never fail to draw the attention of eyes wide open in wonder. Meanwhile, the hearts of children are filled with joy by the Christmas bakery as well a ride on the vintage merry-go-round.
